Our Ambassador in the USA

David Higgs is one of America’s leading concert organists and is a member of the faculty at the Eastman School of Music.   He performs extensively throughout the United States and abroad, and is a frequent performer, teacher and adjudicator at festivals and conventions.   These have included the International Organ Festival of Calgary, the Oundle International Festival and the Cambridge Summer Festival. In 1999 and 2001 he was a member of the jury at The International Organ Competition at St Albans.

He has performed with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, the vocal ensemble Chanticleer and the Empire Brass.   He made his orchestral début with the San Francisco Symphony in 1987, and appears with them regularly.   A native of New York City, David Higgs gained Bachelor and Master of Music degrees at the Manhattan School of Music, where he was appointed to the faculty upon graduation.
